OKCFEST, an outdoor music festival in downtown Oklahoma City, will take place for its second year from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27.
Produced by Oklahoma City-based events company Prodigal, the two-day festival showcases national, regional and Oklahoma musical talent, featuring a rock music lineup on Friday night and a country lineup on Saturday.
Sammy Hagar & The Circle will be the Friday night headliner. The Circle consists of Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Jason Bonham. The Friday lineup also includes Grace Potter, Better Than Ezra, Drive-By Truckers and Oklahoma musician Graham Colton.
“I can’t wait to play OKCFEST! It’s a great example showing how our state is in full support of music and arts. It’s cool to think that, in the month of June alone, thousands of Oklahomans will have attended the deadCENTER Film Festival, OKCFEST, Lower Bricktown ‘Live on the Green’ and Heard on Hurd in record numbers,” said Graham Colton.
Rascal Flatts, including Oklahoma native Joe Don Rooney, will headline the Saturday night lineup, which also includes Hank Williams Jr., Lucas Hoge, Clare Dunn, and Oklahoma country musician Corey Kent White from “The Voice” on NBC.
OKCFEST was founded in 2014 by businessman Fred Hall as a way to celebrate the development of downtown Oklahoma City and highlight the city’s thriving arts culture.
“We are thrilled to see OKCFEST return to Oklahoma City for a second year. Events like OKCFEST bring diverse genres of music together, including local talent. The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to support the resurgence of the arts and culture in Oklahoma and we hope it will continue to encourage fans to embrace the experience of this festival,” said Tava Maloy Sofsky, director of OF+MO.
More than 20,000 people attended the downtown festival in its inaugural year. The main stage will be located at the intersection of Reno and Harvey avenues, just south of Myriad Gardens.
General admission tickets are $55 for one night and $95 for both nights. To purchase tickets online and for more information, please visit OKCFEST.
