Katie Williams is a native Oklahoman, actively performing shows in her home state and surrounding areas. Recent performances include The Wormy Dog, West Fest and the first annual AMP Fest in Oklahoma City. Williams writes all of her own songs, and can often be seen with her prized companion, a Martin D28. In early 2016, Williams performed several of her songs with Billy Corgan, of the Smashing Pumpkins, on a live radio broadcast in Cushing, Oklahoma. She has had the opportunity to work with many talented musicians, and released her first album, “Force of Nature”, out of Breathing Rhythm Studios, in the fall of 2015.
“I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by, particularly in Oklahoma, so many prolific songwriters and musicians. I didn’t start writing or performing music until my mid 20’s, and the music community has been incredibly loving and supportive. I’m excited for 2017, to go on the road both solo and with a full band, and to make art in a time when I feel that it is essential, now more than ever, to the growth of human kind.”
