Featured Locations for February 2017: Guthrie + Oklahoma City

Whether you’re looking for the perfect romantic getaway or your next filming location, Oklahoma has a number of charming bed and breakfast accommodations ready to roll out the red carpet. As one of Guthrie’s most cherished Victorian estates, the Stone Lion Inn (pictured) has been carefully restored to preserve the authenticity of its humble beginnings which date back to 1907. The location features a downstairs parlor, oak paneled dining room and leaded glass bookshelves in the mansion’s library as well as six guest room suites with elegant interiors and antique furnishings. In addition to the fun-filled Murder Mystery Weekends the Inn hosts for patrons, this film-friendly location has been seen in a number of films produced in Oklahoma including the forthcoming movie “Gosnell”.

Another prime example of Victorian architecture, the Grandison Inn at Maney Park in Oklahoma City combines classic elegance and modern features including suites with whirlpool tubs and private baths. The mahogany woodwork, maple hardwood floors, cozy alcoves and original stained glass encapsulate the spirit of the times while each of the eight guest rooms feature its own theme and personality. The Grandison will soon be seen in the upcoming horror film release “Gremlin” by Oklahoma’s own Ryan Bellgardt.
