Francis Tuttle Partners with Prairie Surf to Offer Film Training Classes

Francis Tuttle Technology Center offers a broad range of programs and services in support of developing and maintaining a quality workforce in Central Oklahoma with four campuses located throughout Oklahoma City and the surrounding region. As Oklahoma’s booming film and television industry continues to create thousands of new local career opportunities, Francis Tuttle has partnered with Prairie Surf Media to launch a series of training classes geared towards growing a strong, skilled film workforce to meet the industry’s current job demand.

High school students, adult learners, business owners and more are encouraged to enroll in these classes where they will receive instruction from professionals who are currently working or have experience in the local film and television industry. Learning from these professionals, students can prepare for an exciting career working on-set and make connections that lead to jobs after course completion.

The first classes offered by Francis Tuttle Technology Center will begin in February 2022 and are now available for enrollment.

Film Art Department Bootcamp (FULL)
February 5 – March 12, 2022
Overview of set design, construction and prop creation.

Production Accounting
February 1-8, 2022
Learn the facets of film/TV accounting from industry professionals.

Food styling
February 21-24, 2022
Discover the artistry of preparing a culinary delight for films, shows or your own food blog and social media.

An Oklahoma City-based global production company that seeks to further develop the streaming, television and motion picture landscape in Oklahoma, Prairie Surf Media not only operates the largest clearspan soundstage in the Midwest (Prairie Surf Studios), but also offers educational resources through their Pathways programming and strategic collaborations with partners such as Francis Tuttle.
