Horton Records Hosts Fifth Annual Rock ’N Folk ’N Chili Cook-Off

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office is proud to sponsor Horton Records’ fifth annual Rock ’n Folk ’n Chili Cook-off, taking place Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. at Tulsa’s historic Cain’s Ballroom. This all-ages, family-friendly event features live music, chili samples from Tulsa-area restaurants and local musicians, live art, raffles, silent auctions and more.

Horton Records is a volunteer-based, non-profit Tulsa music organization who has released more than 70 titles from Oklahoma artists and distributed more than 70,000 physical units worldwide. They organize and promote showcase events, provide booking services and management support to artists, supply business and financial support for recording and distributing music worldwide and support educational efforts for all ages.

“Music, food and art have always been a great way to bring people together,” said Brian Horton, President of Horton Records. “This community has been so encouraging of our mission to help develop and support the musicians in our state, and we are pleased the event has become a Tulsa tradition. We’re also glad to have a chance to give back. Once again, we’ll be collecting donations of non-perishable food and winter coats at the event.”

Musicians performing at the Rock ’n Folk ’n Chili Cook-off include Levi Parham, John Fullbright, Paul Benjaman, Jesse Aycock, Dustin Pittsley, Branjae and more. Jacob Tovar & The Saddle Tramps, modern purveyors of Western swing, will close out the evening.

Admission for this event includes all-you-can-eat chili, while supplies last. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at cainsballroom.com or the day of show.

Visit the OF+MO Instagram page (@okfilmmusic) to enter to win a pair of tickets to the Rock ’n Folk ’n Chili Cook-off! Two sets of tickets are available. Winners will be picked Thursday, November 8.
