“Let Me Make You a Martyr” Secures Worldwide Distribution

FilmRise has acquired worldwide distribution rights to the revenge thriller “Let Me Make You a Martyr” and will release the film across all digital and home media platforms in early 2017.

“Let Me Make You a Martyr” tells the story of Drew Glass (Niko Nicotera), a young man recently returned to his hometown after years away, who crosses paths with his adoptive father, local crime boss Larry Glass (Mark Boone Junior), and reconnects with his adopted sister and love interest, June Glass (Sam Quartin). Determined to run away together and escape their complicated past, June and Drew concoct a plan to kill Larry. Unfortunately, Larry finds out about the scheme and hires a hit man of his own (Marilyn Manson) to resolve the problem.

The film marks the feature debut of co-directors Corey Asraf and John Swab. A Tulsa native, Swab penned the script and shares producing credits with Corey Asraf, Michael Jefferson, Sam Quartin and Mark Boone Junior, among others.

“Let Me Make You a Martyr” was shot entirely in Oklahoma at a number of locations in the Tulsa and Sand Springs region as well as Little Sahara State Park. The film utilized the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO).

“I grew up in Oklahoma, the story was birthed and written there. Oklahoma was the only place ‘Let Me Make You A Martyr’ could have come to life,” says Swab.

Asraf adds “Without the support of the Oklahoma Film and Music Office and the city of Tulsa it would have been impossible to achieve what we did in such a short amount of time.”

“Our office wishes to congratulate Corey Asraf, John Swab and the entire team behind ‘Let Me Make You a Martyr’ on their successful distribution deal with FilmRise,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “With the film’s distribution, our state’s rebate program, stunning locations and skilled talent are showcased to worldwide audiences thereby positively enhancing Oklahoma’s reputation as a premiere destination for film and television production.”
