After successfully wrapping production in Oklahoma last year, “Overexposed” will make its world premiere on the Lifetime Movie Network this Friday, January 29, at 7:00 p.m. CST.
“Overexposed” is a brutally topical thriller about a texting scandal leading to a murder that tears a small Oklahoma town apart. The film marks Writer/Director Conor Allyn’s ninth feature film and his second film to be produced in Oklahoma after previously helming “The Forsaken” in 2015. For the first time in his career, Allyn has teamed up with his younger brother, Actor/Writer Jake Allyn (BET’s “The Squad”) who stars in the film alongside Marguerite Moreau (“Wet Hot American Summer”) and Mary Katherine Duhon (“Scream”).
Utilizing the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, the production of “Overexposed” in Oklahoma employed over 180 local film industry members in addition to the film’s positive economic impact on local businesses and vendors in the communities of Guthrie and Oklahoma City where the film was shot on location.
“Filming in Oklahoma for this film was a delight,” said Allyn. “The location added immense, authentic texture to our film and became a character in itself.”
