Robbins Entertainment and Dessler Media, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), are pleased to announce principal photography is underway on the feature film “Sorority Sister Killer” in Central Oklahoma, which began on September 22 and will film at locations such as Rose State College, Hales Mansion and the city of El Reno.
Directed by Tom Shell (“Dying to be a Cheerleader”, “When Vows Break”) and written by Chris Sivertson (“Escape Plan 2”, “Shattered Memories”), “Sorority Sister Killer” is the story of a feisty sorority pledge whose best friend is murdered. She must track down the killer before she gets charged with the crime or becomes the next victim herself.
The movie stars Sarah Fisher (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”, “Heartland”, “Fatal Fixation”), Rene Ashton (“This is Us”, “Westworld”, “Nightmare Nurse”), and Oklahoma local Lani Baker. Additional Oklahoma talent includes Paige Kriet and Triana Browne. The production hired 23 local crew members, including Oklahoma casting director Ricki Maslar, CSA.
Producers Lance H. Robbins and Kyle Dill wanted to film the project in Oklahoma because of the beautiful college campuses, sorority and fraternity buildings, excellent crews and all that Oklahoma and its surrounding cities have to offer. Robbins also credited the friendly people of Oklahoma, business owners and the professionalism of those involved with the Incentive Program as the defining factor for choosing Oklahoma. Added Dill, “The people of Oklahoma are wonderful. We are blown away by the hospitality of everyone. Everywhere we went, people went out of their way to help us.”
Robbins has produced more than 100 movies for television, motion pictures and television series, and was the former President of Saban Entertainment (“Power Rangers”, “Sweet Valley High”, “Ninja Turtles”) and Fox Television Studios Worldwide.
