WeerNProduction (Weer) was founded by Wendy Parker and Sha’ree Green in the fall of 2011. After just a few years and a lot of hard but rewarding work, Weer now has several productions under their belt. “The Long Drive Home” was their first shot at producing and will always be their “baby” said Green. The film has since gone on to win multiple festival awards.
Weer has helped produce several award-winning feature and short films including “The Posthuman Project”, LA-based film “The Butchers”, “Hana” and “The Monsters”. In an effort to fund their true passion for working on indie films, Parker and Green continue to personally assist with projects they find themselves close to as well as working commercials, music videos and large feature projects, including the recently wrapped film “Gosnell” on which Parker and Green respectively served as production coordinator and assistant production coordinator.
“We are honored to have worked with some of the best and most talented up-and-coming writers, directors, talent and crew members in Oklahoma and are excited about the future of small independent film-making in Oklahoma,” said Parker.
WeerNProduction has several projects slated for filming in 2016. Several of the company’s short films will be screening across the country over the next film festival season including “Culpability”, “21 Guns”, “Yes, We’re Open” and “Ronnie BoDean” which recently took home the award for Best Oklahoma Short at the 3rd Annual Red Dirt International Film Festival.
